Social experiment No. 37 Los Angeles > > > San luis obispo
My travel mate is a foreign national who's very religious and never been kissed. He may have to leave the country soon and loves road trips. He agreed to not rely on me much and to pitch in for gas so we are going to see how far we get. Because my trip commenced later than expected I skipped Ojai and went straight to Daniela on the central coast. Daniela has been one of my dearest friends for 20 years. On the way stopped at a little Danish town called Solvang, home of the Hans Cristian Anderson Museum and many bakeries. We had Belgium style waffles with fruit and whipped cream and milk shakes. An hour later we were in San Luis Obispo. Daniela was preparing for a two week intensive on permaculture so our time together was limited. We managed to enjoy Sycamore Springs and the monthly San Luis Obisbo Street Fair. On our way out of town David gave me a tour of his studio just north of SLO-town as he prepares for a retrospctive.. This was a real treat.
