This trip was first made years ago with my son and daughter when they were 5 and 4 yrs old respectively. We made our way south on Interstate 5 through the Redwoods all through the wine country on the 1 and 101 to Baja. Along the way we were greeted by much warmth and generosity of folks wanting us to return or even to stay.
Since our experience I have wanted to return for the only road trip I have ever looked forward to.
Labeled an ‘empty-nester’ by some, my children now 23 and 24, I will set out on a new 'coming of age' journey. Guided by intuition and very little structure, I will wend my way up the coast visiting new friends and old, documenting my journey here. You are invited to look in and track its progress as I look forward to seeing many of you along the way!
